‘I have known Julie since the mid 80’s when we worked together on the award-winning Carfax Court, a residential scheme in Bristol. I have also consulted with her projects in New York, London and the South West. Julie is a real credit to the Interior Design Profession. She has a great character and flair, combined with business and property acumen. I have also been impressed by the way she took the initiative to forge links with the RIBA.’

‘It was a pleasure working with Julie on the total renovation of our Grade 2 listed cottage located in the highly sensitive area of Castle Combe, Wiltshire. We were so pleased that we commissioned Julie to renovate a country house we have bought in Kent.’

"My husband and I spent a few days at Doc Martin's house in Port Isaac and our initial impression, as we walked through the door, was how cosy and welcoming it is. We moved from room to room and it just got better and better.
The attention to detail was apparent and the decor perfectly mirrored the locality of the cottage. The use of lamps created a cosy glow and yet there was also a modern feel about the place. Every nook and cranny were made use of in a clever way, whilst still maintaining a feeling of space. The feeling we had whilst staying at the cottage was one of comfort and a 'home from home' with that little extra special something...the perfect cottage.'"

We have known and worked with Julie Kent for over 25 years on various projects.
The latest project was our 5 bedroom guest house where we involved Julie from the initial survey, through to designing the communal rooms including a small conference room/dining room, staircase and individual bathroom designs to the furnishings of all the rooms.
She brought the project in smoothly, calmly, on budget and on time!
Julie's first class interior design/management service has without a doubt contributed greatly to our success.

"Julie has worked with my family for over 20 years, most recently helping me with my family home in Wimbledon. The curtains and blinds Julie has had made are stunning, I am thrilled with them. In addition Julie helped me with a number of other interior design ideas and contacts, all of which have helped to finish my home beautifully, thank you."
‘This practice has worked with Julie for many years and holds her in high regard. Julie is a good communicator, with lots of energy and style and works well as a team member, as well as team leader. She has been able to get the best out of clients, fellow professionals as well as builders and specialist suppliers.
As an architect, I have found working with Julie great fun and rewarding. The numerous projects which we have worked on together, which required particular skills, have included Combe Grove Manor Hotel (formerly Cannons Country Club) Bath – boutique hotel and health spa, Bath; Carmel Court, Residential Apartment Building, Kensington and Connaught Mansions W2. Ongoing projects are a 23,000 sq foot new build in Kensington and the front of house areas of a major new refurbishment and large extension of The New Victoria Hospital, Kingston on Thames starting in 2014.

"Julie Kent recently designed and implemented a comprehensive interior refurbishment to an apartment in one of Chelsea's most prized blocks. The apartment is part of an investment portfolio attracting tenants from all parts of the world.
Julie's scheme was perfectly attuned to sophisticated international tastes and facilitated immediate re-letting to a senior American executive once the work was complete. The work from design through to final furnishing was on time and on budget. A splendid service."

I have known Julie for over ten years and have worked with her on several projects including refurbishments of Grade 2 period properties and a small conference centre, Ingleside House, Cirencester with over ten individually designed meeting rooms, office suites and all communal areas over three floors.
Julie and her team produced survey drawings and plans for planning permission and building regulation approval.
Julie is very professional and one of her strengths is findings ways to minimise the cost without jeopardising the quality. She is experienced, creative and talented and has the ability to know what the client is looking for; therefore the end result is always excellent.
Julie is one of the most honest, hardworking, dependable professionals we have ever worked with.

It was a pleasure working with Julie and her dedicated team on my residential project in Wiltshire. Julie helped me at every step whilst choosing interior design features for the bedroom, dining room, breakfast room and study. Also, she has helped me source paintings and a bespoke bookcase through her contacts in the local area. A thoroughly fabulous service.'

I want to take a moment and extend my appreciation for what you created for us at our Riverside Maisonette.
My husband and I needed a guiding hand as the interior design world out there is so daunting with so much choice.
From the initial furniture plans to the 3D visuals, your mood boards and ideas to executing the plumbing/bathroom issues, bespoke wine storage, stylishly designed cabinets and our walk in wardrobe, we are truly delighted.
Without your experience, valued trade contacts and your project management skills we would have been lost.
We love our artwork, furniture and furnishings, which will now be moved to our new house as with our expanding family, we have just sold the apartment – the new owners loved it and that is all down to your help creating us with such a beautiful stylish apartment. We are looking forward to working with you on our next home.

Julie worked with me from the inception of this project, liaising with the building surveyor and obtaining quotes from building firms. She designed the layout for the new bathrooms, and the lighting layout throughout the house. She made helpful recommendations for other contractors, including central heating engineer and kitchen firm.
She provided project management throughout, attending regular site visits with the builders and building surveyor. When I was not present myself, she kept me appropriately informed.
I would be very happy to use Julie’s services again, whether on a major project or on a smaller refurbishment or interior design matter.
